This perfect summer cupcake combines the flavors of vanilla and lime. It also has some unique ingredients (like corn flour!) and is garnished with poppy seeds. Try it out and let us know what you think! Recipe Ingredients: Batter: 200 grams unsalted butter 220 grams sugar Zest of 2 limes 3 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1⁄2 teaspoon salt 300 grams self rising flour 75 grams corn flour 1 cup milk 40 grams poppy seeds Buttercream Icing: 250 grams unsalted butter 500 grams powdered sugar Juice of 1 small lime Lime Syrup: 220 grams bakers sugar Recipe Directions: Preheat oven to 175 degrees. Soften butter to room temperature, add sugar and lime zest and beat for 3 minutes. Add eggs, vanilla and salt, mixing on slow speed until incorporated. Sift in flour; add poppy seeds and milk, mix on slow speed until incorporated, scrape down sides of bowl and mix on medium for 30 seconds. Spoon mixture into cupcake papers; bake for 35 min or until tooth pick comes out clean. Cool. To make Lime syrup – Combine sugar and juice in a small saucepan over medium heat; stir until sugar dissolves; bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes until thickens slightly. Spoon over cupcakes. To make butter cream – soften butter to room temp and add to mixing bowl with icing sugar & lime juice. Beat for 3-5 minutes until light. Pipe onto cupcakes. Avocado not only adds a rich texture, but also healthy fats and nutrients. Simply blend ripe avocado with cocoa powder, sweetener of your choice, and a splash of non-dairy milk until smooth. Voila, you've got yourself a decadent frosting! Another option is using coconut cream or coconut milk. This luscious ingredient gives a subtle coconut flavor and an ultra-smooth consistency. Recipe Ingredients: 8 ounces Vegan Butter 3.5 ounces of Coconut Milk 5-8 tbsp Dutch Processed Dark Cocoa Powder (if you want it extra chocolatey, add all 8 tbsp) 1 tsp instant Italian Espresso Powder 1-2 tsp Vanilla Bean Paste 3 cups powdered sugar 1/2 tsp salt (optional) Recipe Directions: Mix coconut milk with the cocoa poweder, espresso powder and vanilla bean paste. Mix well and set aside. In the stand of a mixer, cream your vegan butter untill smooth. Next add in the coconut milk mixture and whip until incorporated, stopping to scrape the sides of the mixer bowl down. Mix until just combined. Add the salt to your powdered sugar and slowly add to th mixer bowl untill mixture has been completely combined. Whip with paddle attachment for 5 mins until nice and smooth and fluffy. Recipe Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup sour cream 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 cup white sugar 1/4 cup packed brown sugar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 3/4 cup chopped walnuts 1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping Recipe Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9 inch round cake pan. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and 1/2 cup of sour cream until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Gradually beat in the flour mixture. Spread half of the batter into the prepared pan. In a small bowl, mix together the white sugar, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, and the cinnamon. Sprinkle over the batter in the pan, then sprinkle with the walnuts. Drizzle the caramel topping over the walnuts. Spread the remaining batter over the top. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a knife inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let cool before serving. Enjoy! We add extra flavor to our cheese filling as well as a nice layer of cheddar and mozzarella cheeses on top! Recipe Ingredients: Our spaghetti meat sauce recipe 2 packages lasagna noodles For the filling: 1 egg 2 cups ricotta cheese 1 cup Parmesan cheese 1 cup mozzarella cheese 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped 1 garlic clove, minced 1 cup each mozzarella and cheddar cheese for topping Recipe Directions: Prepare our semi-homemade meat sauce recipe. Combine filling ingredients and set aside. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Run cold water over the noodles and lay on cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Spread a layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a lasagna baking pan. Top with a single layer of lasagna noodles. Spread a layer of cheese mixture on top of the noodles. Add a thin layer of meat sauce. Repeat layers. The top layer will be noodles. Mix mozzarella and cheddar cheese and top the final layer of noodles. Bake uncovered until bubbly, about 40 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to stand 10-12 minutes.
