Our meat sauce contains ground turkey but our added trick will have everyone thinking you used ground beef! We also use store bought sauce as our base and add extra ingredients that boosts the flavor and gives you a thick, robust sauce. Recipe Ingredients: 1 pound ground turkey 1 tablespoon dark cocoa powder 2 bottles Classico Spicy Tomato & Basil pasta sauce Avacado oil 1 large sweet yellow onion, chopped 4 large garlic cloves, minced 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped Recipe Directions: Sauté the onions and garlic in the avocado oil in a large pan. Cook until caramelized. Add the fresh basil and set aside. Mix the dark cocoa powder and ground turkey until blended. Cook the turkey in avocado oil until well browned. Add to the caramelized onions. Add the two bottles of Classico Spicy Tomato & Basil pasta sauce. Simmer on range top on low heat for several hours. If you prefer, you can cook the sauce in a crock pot. Variations: Substitute lean ground beef for the turkey. Omit the dark cocoa powder. You may want to double the tahini sauce to have it on hand all week as its great on sheet pan roasted vegetables as well! Recipe Ingredients: Tahini Sauce Ingredients: ¼ cup tahini, at room temperature and well stirred 3 tablespoons lemon or lime juice Pinch of ground cumin 2 garlic cloves, grated to a paste using a micro plain 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil 1 cup plain yogurt (not Greek-style yogurt) Kosher salt Roasted Cauliflower Ingredients: 1 medium head cauliflower trimmed and cut into 8 equal wedge pieces ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil, plus extra for drizzling Kosher salt and ground black pepper Fresh chopped parsley Recipe Directions: In a mini food processor or mini prep place all tahini sauce ingredients in (except olive oil) and blitz until well combined. Stream in olive oil and blend until emulsified. Place wedges cut side down on non-stick foil- or parchment-lined rimmed baking sheet. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper; gently rub to evenly distribute oil and seasonings. Flip cauliflower and season other side with remaining oil, salt, and pepper. Cover baking sheet tightly with foil and cook for 10 minutes. Remove foil and continue to roast until bottoms of cauliflower pieces are golden, 8 to 12 minutes. Remove sheet from oven, and, using spatula, carefully flip wedges. Return sheet to oven and continue to roast until cauliflower is golden all over, 8 to 12 minutes longer. Season with salt and pepper to taste, drizzle with the tahini sauce, sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve while still warm. They can be grilled, baked, or pan-fried and are commonly served on a bun with various toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onions, and condiments. This versatile dish has become a favorite choice for those looking for a lighter option without compromising on flavor. Recipe Ingredients: 2 eggs 1-2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese 1-2 tbsp basil 1-2 tbsp parsley 1-2 tbsp dehydrated onion 1 pound ground turkey 1/2 cup bread crumbs 2 tbsp crispy onions 1 tbp Worcestershire sauce Kosher salt Pepper Recipe Directions: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Place ground turkey into a bowl and add garlic powder, dehydrated onion, parsley and basil. For extra flavor add in crispy onions. Add Worcestershire sauce, two eggs, parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs. Use your hands or a spatula to mix it all together well. Add some salt and pepper and give it one last mix. Form ground turkey into 6 to 12 balls and place on lined baking sheet and shape them into patties. Grill now or place the whole sheet pan in the freezer and let the patties firm up. Once frozen, place squares of parchment paper between each patty and put in a freezer bag. Cook them as you like and enjoy! Recipe Ingredients: Meringue Powder Version: Makes: Approx. 6 cups 6 tablespoons LorAnn Meringue Powder 2 pounds powdered sugar 10 to 12 tablespoons water* * Water varies depending on weather conditions and desired stiffness of icing: Soft Peak = more water Stiff Peak = less water Egg White Version: Makes: Approx. 3 cups 3 egg whites at room temperature 1 pound powdered sugar 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar Recipe Directions: Meringue Powder Version: Combine ingredients (start with 10 tablespoons of water and add more in small amounts at time as needed) in mixing bowl and beat at low speed for 7 to 10 minutes until icing forms peaks and becomes white. After icing has formed peaks you may thin it down with more water for desired consistency. Egg White Version: Combine ingredients and beat at high speed for 7-10 minutes. Makes approximately 6 cups of icing. Tips: Keep all utensils and mixer bowl grease-free to prevent the icing from breaking down. Too much water? Add more powdered sugar. Keep covered at all times in an air tight container. Re-beat after storing. Do not add more water, it will beat back up to its original condition. Never refrigerate.
