ALL RECIPES BAKING RECIPES CANDY RECIPES COCKTAIL RECIPES COOKING RECIPES Create Account Questions Recipes Video Classes Zoom Classes Blonde Toffee Brownies 10 mins 9 Recipe you are creating: Blonde Toffee Brownies These Blonde Toffee Brownies are made with brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and chunks of dark chocolate. The brown sugar gives the brownies their toffee flavor, while the dark chocolate adds a little bitterness to balance the sweetness. This is my base blonde brownie recipe, so you can change the mix-ins to suit what you like. Swap the dark chocolate for white chocolate or butterscotch chips, add nuts, or leave the chocolate out completely. You don’t need a stand mixer for these Blonde Toffee Brownies. A hand mixer or whisk works fine. I bake them in an 8-inch square pan lined with a parchment sling, which makes them easy to lift out and cut once cooled. Bake for about 25 minutes and you’ve got an easy brown sugar brownie recipe you can make your own. Recipe Ingredients: ½ cup unsalted butter, melted 1 cup dark brown sugar 1 large egg, room temperature 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract 1 cup all-purpose flour ½ teaspoon baking powder ¼ teaspoon salt ½ to ¾ cup chopped dark chocolate Butter for greasing the pan Recipe Directions: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving enough overhang to create a sling. Lightly butter the parchment and pan. Combine the melted butter and dark brown sugar in a mixing bowl. Mix until combined. Add the egg and mix until incorporated. Add the vanilla bean paste and mix again. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Mix until combined, stopping to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl as needed. Fold in the chopped dark chocolate. Add more or less depending on how much chocolate you want. Spread the batter evenly into your prepared pan. Use an offset spatula to push the batter into the corners and level the top. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is baked through. Cool before lifting the brownies from the pan with the parchment sling and cutting into squares. You can replace the dark chocolate with butterscotch chips, white chocolate, nuts, or a combination of your favorite mix-ins. - Guacamole
ALL RECIPES BAKING RECIPES CANDY RECIPES COCKTAIL RECIPES COOKING RECIPES Create Account Questions Recipes Video Classes Zoom Classes Guacamole 10 mins 4 Recipe you are creating: Guacamole There's something irresistibly charming and endlessly customizable about homemade guacamole that has catapulted it from a traditional Mexican staple to a global phenomenon adored by many. This creamy, green delight is not just a dip; it's a culinary experience that brings people together, whether scooped up with a crispy tortilla chip, dolloped on a fiery taco, or even spread on a hearty toast for a quick, nutritious breakfast. What exactly makes guacamole so popular? It's the perfect blend of simplicity and freshness. The base of ripe avocados mixed with the tang of lime juice, the crunch of onions, the freshness of cilantro, and the bite of jalapeños creates a harmony of flavors that are both vibrant and comforting. Unlike store-bought versions that often have preservatives and artificial flavors, homemade guacamole keeps the integrity of its natural ingredients, offering a fresher, more authentic taste. Plus, it's incredibly versatile! Whether you like your guac chunky or smooth, spicy or mild, the recipe can be adjusted to suit any palate, making it a hit at any gathering. What makes a good guacamole? The secret lies in selecting the best quality ingredients. Starting with perfectly ripe avocados is crucial—they should feel slightly soft when gently squeezed, indicating they're at the peak of their creaminess. Fresh lime juice not only adds zest but also helps in preserving the bright green color of the avocado. As for onions, red ones are often preferred for their slight sweetness and vibrant color, but white or yellow onions are just as good if you prefer a sharper taste. Cilantro adds a splash of freshness, while jalapeños bring that kick of heat, which can be adjusted according to taste. Don’t forget the salt! A pinch of it can elevate the flavors and tie them all together. Making guacamole is as easy as it gets. Start by halving your avocados and scooping out the flesh into a bowl. Using a fork, mash them to your desired consistency. Then, stir in finely chopped onions, cilantro, jalapeños (seeded if you prefer less heat), and a generous squeeze of lime juice. Season with salt, taste, and adjust the flavors as needed. The beauty of guacamole is that it's best served at once, allowing you to enjoy the freshness of each ingredient. However, if you need to store it, pressing a piece of plastic wrap directly onto the surface before refrigerating can help prevent browning. Great alternatives to the basic recipe can include finely chopped bell peppers as we use in our recipe. Red bell peppers make a great contrast to the green of the avocado. The bell pepper adds a nice fresh crunch as well. Don’t be afraid to play around with the seasoning either. We enjoy a healthy amount of ground cumin which pairs well with the cilantro and lime. Homemade guacamole is more than just a dip—it's a celebration of fresh, vibrant flavors that can be tailored to taste. Its popularity lies in its simplicity and the joy of sharing it with loved ones. Next time you're thinking of a quick, healthy treat, why not whip up some guacamole? It's sure to be a crowd-pleaser! Be sure to watch the recipe video below for making this delicious appetizer! Recipe Ingredients: 3 avocados 1 lime 2 garlic cloves 5 mini red bell peppers Bunch of cilantro 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon sugar 2 dashes cayenne pepper Recipe Directions: Dice bell peppers and cilantro. Grate garlic. Scrape out avocados. Combine all ingredients into a bowl making sure its well incorporated. Squeeze fresh lime in, add salt, sugar and cayenne pepper, stir and taste. Adjust as needed. This classic Italian cocktail is perfect for sipping on a warm afternoon or evening, and it's a great way to impress your guests at your next get-together. To make an Aperol Spritzer, you'll need just three ingredients: Aperol, Prosecco, and soda water. Start by filling a wine glass with ice, then add 3 parts Prosecco, 2 parts Aperol, and 1 part soda water. Give it a quick stir, garnish with a slice of orange, and you're ready to enjoy! One of the things we love about the Aperol Spritzer is how versatile it is. If you like your drinks a little sweeter, add a splash of orange juice. Or, if you prefer something a little stronger, try substituting the Prosecco for champagne. No matter how you make it, the Aperol Spritzer is sure to become your new go-to summer drink. Cheers! Recipe Ingredients: • Ice • 6 ounces Aperol • 6 ounces Prosecco • 2 ounces Club Soda or Sparkling Water • Orange Slices for Garnish Recipe Directions: Add ice to a wine glass until it is nearly full. Pour in the Aperol (I usually eyeball this and pour until I’ve filled about one-third of the glass). Pour in an equal amount of Prosecco. Top your drink off with a splash of club soda or sparkling water and add a couple slices of orange and enjoy! Make it less bitter: Add a splash of orange flavored zero calorie sparkling water. Or replace the orange with coconut pineapple for a fruity twist.
