  • Classic Turkey Stroganoff

ALL RECIPES BAKING RECIPES CANDY RECIPES COCKTAIL RECIPES COOKING RECIPES Create Account Questions Recipes Video Classes Zoom Classes Classic Turkey Stroganoff 20 mins 4-6 Recipe you are creating: Classic Turkey Stroganoff Turkey Stroganoff is a delightful variation of the traditional beef stroganoff, swapping the usual beef for turkey, making it a lighter yet equally satisfying dish. This dish combines tender strips of turkey with a creamy, savory sauce typically composed of mushrooms, onions, and a base of sour cream or a roux made from flour and broth. It's often served over a bed of egg noodles, rice, or sometimes mashed potatoes, making it a versatile and comforting meal perfect for any day of the week. One of the reasons people gravitate towards turkey stroganoff is its comforting nature combined with a slightly healthier profile than its beef counterpart. Turkey, being leaner, offers a nutritious alternative without compromising on taste or texture. The creamy sauce, rich with the earthiness of mushrooms and the tang of sour cream, envelops the turkey in a way that's both indulgent and comforting. This dish is a hit in households looking for a meal that's both satisfying and a bit lighter. For those keen on making turkey stroganoff at home, here are a few helpful suggestions to ensure your dish is a success. Begin by choosing the right cut of turkey - turkey breast strips work well as they cook quickly and remain tender. Don't skimp on the mushrooms; they add a beautiful depth of flavor that's key to a good stroganoff. When it comes to the sauce, let it simmer gently to thicken, and only add the sour cream at the end to avoid curdling. Lastly, consider adding a splash of white wine to the sauce for an extra layer of flavor. Serve your turkey stroganoff over freshly cooked egg noodles or fluffy rice, and you've got a comforting meal that's sure to please. Recipe Ingredients: Ground Turkey or Beef Onions Baby Bella Mushrooms Olive Oil Egg Noodles Sour Cream Water Fresh Parsley Worcestershire Sauce Beef Bouillon Cube or Chicken Salt Fresh Cracked Pepper Creme Fresh Recipe Directions: Cook Fettuccine: Boil the fettuccine according to the package instructions. Slowly add beef broth, stirring to combine until the mixture thickens. Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked turkey to the skillet. Stir in sour cream and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes until everything is heated through. Mix with Pasta: Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce. ALL RECIPES BAKING RECIPES CANDY RECIPES COCKTAIL RECIPES COOKING RECIPES Create Account Questions Recipes Video Classes Zoom Classes Balsamic Glazed Asparagus 10 mins 4 Recipe you are creating: Balsamic Glazed Asparagus April and May are the best months to buy asparagus! Our balsamic glazed asparagus recipe is quick and easy to make either in the oven or outdoors on the grill. Balsamic glaze brings out the flavor in fresh asparagus. And fresh slices of fresh lemon finish the dish off perfectly. Great as a side dish and left overs are great thrown on a salad the next day. Balsamic glaze brings out the flavor in fresh asparagus. Grill it on the barbecue or roast in the oven. Finish with slices of fresh lemon. There are many brands of balsamic glazes on the market and most of them contain a lot of sugar. Be sure to check out our homemade recipe on the site which has just a touch of brown sugar. We add it to a good quality balsamic vinegar and simmer it until it turns sweet and has a syrup-like consistency. Its great on asparagus and on a nice Caprese salad. Recipe Ingredients: 2 pounds fresh asparagus Avocado oil spray Balsamic glaze 1 fresh lemon, sliced Salt Recipe Directions: Prep work: Be sure to chose thin, uniform stalks of asparagus. They take less time to cook and have a better texture. Cut the woody ends off the stalks. I like to bend them and let them snap by themselves. This assures that the tough ends are all removed. Trim any rough ends. Line your baking dish or grilling pan with aluminum foil and preheat before adding the veggie. The grill marks add a ton of flavor to the asparagus. Baking: Preheated to 425 degrees. Place your foil lined pan in the oven for 5 minutes. Note: You will want the asparagus to sizzle when it hits the foil. Spray the asparagus with the avocado oil, and toss to coat on all sides. Season generously with salt. Remove pan from oven and place the spears on the foil and spray lightly with oil. Bake at 425 degrees for five minutes. Remove from oven and turn the spears ensuring all sides are charred. Add lemon slices and bake until the asparagus is tender. Grilling: Preheat the grilling pan in the grill. Add the salted and oiled asparagus to the preheated grilling pan. Place on grill and close the lid. Bake until lightly charred. Turn the spears and close the lid and bake several minutes. Turn spears and add the fresh lemon slices. Cook until spears are tender. Variations: Slice one large sweet yellow onion. Grill onions slices in a separate pan (following above instructions). Toss with the grilled asparagus. Add the fresh lemon slices. Cook until the veggies are tender.
