This recipe cooks in 10 mins and the balsamic vinegar adds depth while helping things caramelize quickly. Recipe Ingredients: 1⁄4 cup (60 ml) extra-virgin olive oil, divided 1 large sweet onion, thinly sliced Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper 2 teaspoons Elderberry balsamic vinegar Recipe Directions: Heat 2 tablespoons of the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and season with salt and pepper. Cover loosely (you can use any lid, even if it’s for a different pan) and cook, stirring occasionally, until deep golden brown, about 10 minutes. Stir in the vinegar and cook, stirring, until the onions are completely soft, 1 to 2 minutes longer. Remove the pan from the heat and enjoy. ALL RECIPES BAKING RECIPES CANDY RECIPES COCKTAIL RECIPES COOKING RECIPES Create Account Questions Recipes Video Classes Zoom Classes Burnt Sugar Coconut Pecan Cupcakes 10 mins 2 dozen Recipe you are creating: Burnt Sugar Coconut Pecan Cupcakes I have taken some of my favorite flavors and textures to create this delicious cupcake. It's a combination of a traditional coconut pecan filling that is used in a german chocolate cake, layered it with ganache, and added a caramel burn sugar drizzle. It's simply heaven in every bite. Recipe Ingredients: Burnt Sugar: 1/2 cup sugar (for burnt sugar step) 1/2 cup boiling water (for burnt sugar step) Cupcakes: 2/14 cups cake flour 1 cup bakers sugar 3 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup high ratio shortening 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract Ghirardelli caramel sauce Recipe Directions: Burnt Sugar: Melt sugar in sauce pan over low heat stirring constantly until clear and medium brown. Remove from heat. Slowly add the boiling water, stirring constantly, taking caution to not burn yourself from the steam. Measure and add additional water if needed to make 1 cup of liquid. Let cool. Dry Ingredients: In mixer bowl sift together first 4 cupcake ingredients. Add shortening, and 2/3 cup cooled burnt sugar liquid and beat 2 mins with paddle attachment. Add remaining burnt sugar liquid, eggs and vanilla. Beat 2-3 mins. Scoop batter into your lined cupcake pans using an ice-cream scoop. Bake 18-20 mins or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Ganache: Heat one cup of whipping cream in the microwave in a microwave safe dish for about a min. You want it hot enough to melt the chocolate but you don't want to scald the milk. Add 1 pound of chocolate and let it melt into the cream. Once melted stir to ensure all the lumps are out. Top cupcake with freshly made ganache. Add a scoop of our coconut pecan filling on top (see recipe on site). Drizzle with Ghirardelli caramel sauce and enjoy! - Pie Crust with Oil
ALL RECIPES BAKING RECIPES CANDY RECIPES COCKTAIL RECIPES COOKING RECIPES Create Account Questions Recipes Video Classes Zoom Classes Pie Crust with Oil 15 mins 2 single crusts Recipe you are creating: Pie Crust with Oil Oil is easy to incorporate into pie dough and since it’s in liquid form, it won’t melt while you’re working your dough. The downside is your crust won’t be as flaky as using one of the other fat types. Recipe Ingredients: 1 3/4 cups unbleached flour 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup oil (cannola, avocado or vegetable) 3 to 4 tablespoons cold water Recipe Directions: Measure flour and salt into a medium bowl. Add oil. Mix until pieces are the size of small peas. Sprinkle water, 1 tablespoon at a time and mix with the flour until flour is moistened and dough almost cleans the side of the bowl. Form the mixture into a loosely formed ball. Add more water if needed to mold the dough. Turn the dough out onto a floured work surface and gently knead into a ball. Divide the ball into halves and shape each half into a 4 inch circle. Wrap the dough in waxed paper or plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Return the dough rounds to the floured surface, roll out one of the discs of dough into a circle. Turn the dough gently as you work. Center your pie pan upside down on the circle of dough and roll it out until it is about 2 inches larger than the edges of the pan. Carefully transfer it to the pie pan, rolling it up onto your rolling pin to move it. You can also fold it gently into quarters and place the point in the center and unfold it over the pie pan. Press the dough gently into the pan; trim away any excess dough, and patch any holes. Leave about 1/2 inch beyond the edge of the pie pan. Fold the edges up and over and crimp edges using a fork or your finger. Refrigerate the crust until needed. You can make in advance. Wrap the dough well in plastic and refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. You Might Also Like: Baking Classes You Might Like! ALL RECIPES BAKING RECIPES CANDY RECIPES COCKTAIL RECIPES COOKING RECIPES Create Account Questions Recipes Video Classes Zoom Classes Chimichurri Sauce 10 mins 1 cup Recipe you are creating: Chimichurri Sauce 🌿🔥 How to Make Chimichurri Sauce 🔥🌿 If you love herb based marinades or condiments, you will love my Chimichurri sauce! This is not your typical Chimichurri sauce as it contains cilantro, parsley and oregano along with champagne vinegar for the acid rather than lime or lemon juice. It's the perfect balance of herbiness, garliciness, tang and spice. I make it up either the night before or the morning of grill day. The longer you let it sit in the fridge the more developed the taste will be! When making homemade Chimichurri sauce, there are a few important things to keep in mind to ensure you end up with a delicious and flavorful condiment. The key ingredients for Chimichurri typically include fresh parsley, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, and red pepper flakes for a bit of heat. It's important to use fresh ingredients for the best taste and to balance the flavors. Some variations also include ingredients like cilantro, oregano, or lemon juice for added complexity. The texture of Chimichurri is up to personal preference. Some people prefer a chunkier sauce, while others like it smoother. You can achieve your desired texture by finely chopping the ingredients by hand or using a food processor for a more blended consistency. Experiment with different techniques to find what you enjoy most. People adore Chimichurri for its vibrant taste and versatility. Whether you drizzle it over grilled meats, toss it with veggies, or use it as a marinade, it’s a game-changer. Plus, you can tweak it to fit your taste—chunky or smooth, the choice is yours! A few tips for the best Chimichurri: Stick with fresh ingredients—they really do make a difference. Play around with the texture. Hand chop for a rustic feel or use a food processor for a smoother finish. Don’t be afraid to experiment with cilantro, oregano, or a splash of lemon juice for an extra kick. Want the full recipe video below! Your taste buds will thank you!
