Recipe Ingredients: Apple cider sauce 3 tablespoons unsalted butter 1/4 cup dark brown sugar 2 tablespoons corn starch 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 cups apple cider 1 1/2 teaspoons apple pie spice 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon 4 or 5 apples 1 recipe Butter Pie Crust Crumb topping 1 cup flour 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1/4 teaspoon salt Recipe Directions: Combine the brown sugar and cornstarch together. In a heavy-bottomed pot, bring the butter, sugar, cornstarch and apple cider to a boil. Continue cooking until it thickens. Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the salt and spices. Set aside to cool slightly. Roll out half of the pastry dough to a 13-inch (33-cm) circle, about 1⁄8 inch thick (3 mm) and place it in a 9 inch pie plate. Finish the top of the pie crust by crimping the edges along the top of the crust with a fork or you can use your fingers to create a clean top edge. Peel, core, and slice the apples about 1⁄8 inch thick (3 mm). Line the bottom of the pastry dough with the apple slices. Fill the pie shell with the apple cider mixture. Combine the crumb topping and layer on top of the apples in the pie pan. Bake the pie on a pre-heated pizza stone in a 400 degree oven for about 45 minutes, or until the filling is bubbly and the crumb topping is golden brown. Recipe Ingredients: 7 oz Tillamook Chive & Onion Cream Cheese 6.5 oz sharp cheddar, pub cheese ¼ cup fresh chives, minced ¼ cup roasted pistachios, crushed Plastic wrap Mini Ball Pan Recipe Directions: Add cream cheese and pub cheese to a food processor with the blade attachment. Blend until smooth, scraping the sides as needed. Line a ball pan with plastic wrap and scoop the cheese mixture into it, pressing down firmly. Wrap tightly and chill in the freezer for 10 minutes. Recipe Ingredients: 1 package Rhodes frozen cinnamon roll dough with icing packets 1/2 cup brown sugar and white sugars 1 stick butter, melted 2 teaspoons Saigon cinnamon Green, purple and yellow sanding sugar (*Directions below on how to make your own colored sanding sugar using white sanding sugar and powdered colors.) Small plastic baby (Note: I don't actually bake the baby into the cake.) Large Bundt pan Recipe Directions: Place the frozen Rhodes cinnamon rolls on a cookie sheet and allow the rolls to thaw. *If you do not have colored sanding sugars you can make your own. Place white sanding sugar in three bowls. Add purple powdered color to one bowl. Place in a Ziplock and shake to mix. Pour back into the bowl. Repeat for green and yellow colors. Grease the Bundt pan with butter. Mix the brown and white sugars and cinnamon together in a separate bowl. Melt the butter and allow to cool slightly. Roll the cinnamon rolls in the butter, and then in the sugar mixture. Lay the rolls in the pan as shown in the picture. Place the Bundt pan in a warm place to rise. NOTE: If you set your oven to the lowest temperature and allow it to heat for 5 minutes, you can use it as your proofing area. Just be sure to turn the oven off before you put the pan in to proof! Allow the dough to rise until it has doubled (approximately 1 1/2 hours). Take out of oven. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 30-35 minutes. The top will be nicely browned. Remove from oven and invert on a large plate. Allow to cool for 5 minutes. Open the icing packets and drizzle over the top of the cake. Find a spot to hide the baby. Make sure you cover your tracks!
