Class Date: Friday, Oct 30th, 2020

Class Time: 3pm PST

Class Length: 2-3 hours

At the end of this virtual hands on class you will have learned how to construct an edible treat bag made out of cake! This class will give you the foundation and inspiration to create many other cakes using the techniques learned in class. Class starts at 10am PST on Oct 17th. Class will run between 2 and 3 hours.

In this live zoom class we will work through the following together:

• Carving, icing, and covering our cake in fondant to look like a bag

• Using edible colors to enhance and add texture and shading to our bag

• Creating two different types of candy using chocolate and sprinkles:

  • 1) Spooktacular Candy Bark

  • 2) Chocolate Stick Candy to resemble a Mummy, Frankenstein and a shape of your choice

• Putting it all together in a cute arrangement using the treats we've made along with some wafer paper accents

This is a zoom class and will require prep work by you prior to our live class date. Prep work videos have been recorded to help you prepare your icing, and cut and stack your basic cake shape.

A template is provided as well to help you cut the right size of cake and Michele will walk you through creating your template and cutting and stacking your cake via video prior to class. Recipes, pre-class prep and a equipment/supply list will be sent seven days in advance of class.

*This class will also be recorded and available for replay at your leisure after the live class has ended along with additional pre-recorded sections for those that want to be able to skip around and have a more focused video playback experience.
