Tartar Sauce

Tartar sauce is quick and easy to make. It's great as a side sauce for fish and kids love to mix it with ketchup and dip fries into it.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup mayonnaise

  • 3 tablespoons minced pickled dill gherkin plus 1 tablespoon brine

  • 1 scallion, minced

  • 1 small shallot, minced

  • 1 tablespoon capers, rinsed and minced

  • ½ teaspoon pepper

  • Fresh dill for garnish

Recipe Directions:

  1. Rinse and mince capers. Mince gherkins, scallion, and shallot. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until flavors fuse, about 15 minutes.

  2. Keeps in fridge for one week.
