Roasted tomato bread is a delicious and savory bread that combines the sweetness of roasted tomatoes with the hearty goodness of freshly baked bread. The process typically involves roasting ripe tomatoes until they are caramelized and bursting with flavor, then incorporating them into butter to create a delicious spread. Makes a great appetizer or side for soups, salads and main entrees.

Directions:

  • Follow directions for making our compound tomato butter recipe.

  • Cut bread into 2 halves.

  • Generously lather compound butter on each side of bread.

  • Sprinkle both halves with Asiago and Parmesan Reggiano cheese to your taste preference.

  • Bake at 375 degrees for 9-10 mins or until golden brown.

  • Remove from oven, slice and enjoy!

  • Freshly grated Asiago and Parmesan Reggiano

  • One loaf of French, Italian or Sour Dough bread
