Recipe you are creating:
Caribbean Style Mojito
This cocktail has a beautiful grassy-green color from the puréed mint and is popular in the Caribbean making it perfect for pretending you are on a sandy beach!
Recipe Ingredients:
2 ounces light rum
1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice plus wedges for garnish
1 teaspoon superfine granulated sugar
10 mint leaves pureed plus more leaves for garnish
Club soda or seltzer water
1 cup of ice
Recipe Directions:
In a blender, add rum, lime juice, sugar, mint leaves and a heaping cup of ice. Blend until smooth.
Fill a cocktail class with crushed ice. Pour the blended mojito through a fine-mesh strainer set over the cocktail glass.
Add a splash of club soda or seltzer water and garnish with lime and mint. Enoy!
