Caribbean Style Mojito

What you are creating

This cocktail has a beautiful grassy-green color from the puréed mint and is popular in the Caribbean making it perfect for pretending you are on a sandy beach!

Directions:

  1. In a blender, add rum, lime juice, sugar, mint leaves and a heaping cup of ice. Blend until smooth.

  2. Fill a cocktail class with crushed ice. Pour the blended mojito through a fine-mesh strainer set over the cocktail glass.

  3. Add a splash of club soda or seltzer water and garnish with lime and mint. Enoy!

Ingredients
  • 2 ounces light rum

  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice plus wedges for garnish

  • 1 teaspoon superfine granulated sugar 

  • 10 mint leaves pureed plus more leaves for garnish

  • Club soda or seltzer water

  • 1 cup of ice
