With social distancing being the new temporary norm, many of us had to forego extended family around the dinner table at Easter this year. As a result...more left overs than usual. Not to worry, we've got a few recipes for you today that will put those delicious ham leftovers to good use!
We'd also like to take a moment to thank all the people keeping our healthcare system, grocery stores and pharmacies running. It's a unique time we live in and nothing like most of us have ever seen. Take good care!
First up our ham Croquettes. Chessy ham goodness on the inside and a nice crispy crust on the outside! Ham croquettes are a tasty little bundle of ground ham and white sauce, rolled in bread crumbs and fried to a golden brown.
These bite sized delights can be served as an appetizer or main dish! For families quarantining together this croquettes would be fun to do as part of a family tapas night!
Looking for something a little more soul soothing during these quarantined times? Try our super easy Split Pea soup with ham. We like to leave plenty of meat on the ham bone for our soup. If your ham bone isn't meaty, set aside two cups of ham to be cubed for the soup. If you aren't going to make the soup right away, freeze the ham bone and ham until ready.
We like our soups to be a full meal deal. That's why we add big pieces of veggies to the mix so you have a hearty veggie chunk in every bite.
