It doesn't spread and is ideal for all your cookie projects! Ingredients: 2 cups unsalted butter 2 cups bakers sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 teaspoons Lemon Extract (LorAnn Bakery Emulsions) 5 1⁄2 to 6 cups all purpose flour 3 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt Directions: In a 5qt mixer or a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs, mix. Add vanilla and Lemon extract, mix. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt together. Gradually add to the butter mixture until incorporated. TIP: For 3D cookies it is best to hold back a bit on the flour (5 1⁄4 or 5 1⁄2 cups). Scrape bowl and mix until dough comes together. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Roll out cookies on parchment paper, cut shapes leaving space between the cookies, then place the parchment paper with the cookies onto a cookie sheet. Bake cookies at 350 degrees in a regular oven or 300-325 degrees in a convection oven until golden brown around the edges. Makes Approx: 3 Dozen 5" Cookies Variations: For flavor variations add any of the LorAnn Bakery Emulsions. More dessert!

Download Recipe Card Shop/Buy Project Supplies Ask Questions/Forum How to make Chocolate Butter Cake Difficulty: Easy What you are creating: A delightfully dense and delicious chocolate cake. Ice with chocolate whipped cream! Ingredients: 2 3/4 cups cake flour 3/4 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder 2 cups sugar 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 sticks butter, diced, at room temperature 1 cup whole or low-fat milk 4 large eggs 2 large egg whites 2 teaspoons vanilla extract Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat two 8 inch cake pans with cooking spray. Dust with flour. Shift the dry ingredients together into the bowl of a stand mixer. Add the butter and 1/2 cup of the milk. Using the whisk attachment, mix on medium speed for about four minutes or until the mixture is smooth. Scrap the sides and bottom of the bowl with a spatula. Blend the eggs, egg whites, vanilla and remaining milk in a separate bowl. Add the wet ingredients into the batter in three additions. Beat for two minutes on medium speed after you add, and scrape down the bowl between each addition. Divide the batter evenly between the 8 inch pans. Bake for 35-40 minutes. The layers are done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow cake to cool in pans. Remove from pans and ice with your favorite buttercream, or chocolate whipped cream. Makes approximately two 8 inch round cakes.

Serve with our beef enchiladas and Mexican style rice! Ingredients: 1 package dry pinto beans 1 quart water 1 large sweet yellow onion, chopped 3 large garlic cloves, minced 1/4 cup avocado oil 1 quart beef broth 2 tomato bouillon cubes 2 additional cups water Directions: Rinse and sort the dried beans. Place in large kettle with 4 cups water. Bring to boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to soak for an hour. Drain the beans. Place avocado oil in the pan and sauté the onions and garlic until caramelized. Add the beans, tomato bouillon and 1 quart of beef broth. Simmer until tender. If the beans appear to be drying out, add additional water. Once the beans are tender, remove from heat and mash. Makes approximately 6 servings. Related Projects:

Sometimes her impatience for a hot cookie gets the best of her and she'll bake the first batch before chilling the dough. The cookies always end up spreading too much but secretly, I think that's intentional. After all, you can't share a cookie that doesn't look just right! Download Recipe Card Shop/Buy Project Supplies Ask Questions/Forum How to make Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies What you are creating: Chocolate chip cookies made with real butter and mini M&M candies. Ingredients: 1 cup (2 sticks butter) 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup white sugar 2 eggs 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste 2 1/4 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 package semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 package mini M&Ms Honey roasted pecans, crushed Directions: In a large bowl, cream the butter, sugars, vanilla bean paste and eggs together until fluffy. Shift dry ingredients together. Gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Stir in crushed honey roasted pecans until blended. Fold in the chocolate chips and Mini M&Ms. Chill for 2 hours. Use an ice cream scoop to drop the cookies onto the cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
