Recipe Ingredients:

  • 3 cups whole wheat flour, plus more for rolling

  • 3 ripe bananas

  • ½ cup peanut butter

  • 1 egg yolk

  • Optional: 1–2 tablespoons bacon grease (swap for part of the peanut butter)

Recipe Directions:

  1. Add flour, peanut butter, bananas, and egg yolk to a food processor. 

  2. Blend until the dough pulls away from the sides. 

  3. If sticky, add more flour. 

  4. Turn the dough onto a floured parchment sheet and knead briefly. 

  5. Roll to desired thickness. 

  6. Cut into small squares or shapes using a pastry wheel. 

  7. Transfer to a lined baking sheet. 

  8. Bake at 300°F for 25 minutes or until lightly golden and firm. 

  9. Cool completely. 

  10. Store up to 1 week at room temp, 3 weeks in the fridge, or freeze for later.
