Ghost Cookie
Make ghost cookies with white and black icing, candy eyes, and a little pink blush. In this decorating tutorial, you’ll see a few ways to add arms: pipe them before you ice the body, add them on top after the body dries, or shape them with thicker icing.
Add a smile, let your ghost cookie dry, then finish with pink cheeks and a touch of edible sparkle. Use black nonpareils if you don’t have candy eyes.
Recipe Ingredients:
Ghost-shaped baked cookies
White royal icing
Black royal icing
Candy eyes or black nonpareils
Pink edible petal dust
Edible diamond dust or glitter
Pearl dust, optional
Recipe Directions:
Pipe white icing around the cookie’s edge, then fill in the body. Use a scribe tool to spread the icing and smooth any gaps.
Add two candy eyes and pipe a small smile with black icing.
Let the icing dry before adding pink cheeks with a small brush.
Sprinkle on edible diamond dust or glitter. Add pearl dust if you like.
For a ghost with raised arms, pipe the arms onto the bare cookie first. Let them dry, then outline and fill the body. Add the eyes and smile.
To add arms after icing the body, let the white icing dry first. Pipe the arms on top and let them set before adding cheeks and sparkle.
