What you are creating

The best way to serve up a baguette is to make crispy crostini slices.

These delicious crunchy slices pair well with dips, soups, salads and a cheese platter.

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Melt the butter in a sauce pan.

  3. Add olive or avocado oil and garlic and sauté for several minutes on low heat.

  4. Remove from heat.

  5. Dip each slice of bread in the mixture. Turn to coat each side.

  6. Place the bread on a baking sheet.

  7. Bake 8-10 minutes, until the bread is golden brown and crispy.

Ingredients
  • 1 French baguette, cut into thin slices (about 1/4-1/2 inch slices)

  • 1/4 cup olive or avocado oil

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/4 cup high quality butter

  • Salt and pepper to taste
