What you are creating

Created in the 1800’s, some cocktails never go out of style like the old-fashioned cocktail. Play with the spirits and garnish for a different twist.

Directions:

  1. To an old fashioned glass, add sugar cube, bitters and water. Muddle until sugar is dissolved.

  2. Fill glass halfway with ice. Add whiskey or bourbon, using a cocktail spoon, gently stir to combine.

  3. To garnish pierce through orange peel with a toothpick, then through a cocktail cherry and rest toothpick on the rim of the glass and enjoy.


Ingredients
  • 1 cube of sugar

  • 2 dashes of orange bitters

  • 1 teaspoon water

  • 2 ounces rye whiskey, whiskey or bourbon

  • Orange peel and cocktail cherry for garnish
