The perfect cheesecake for any occasion and any season!
Cheesecake is a special treat around our house and this delicious cheesecake has graced the dessert table at our family gatherings for many years.
It's part of the holiday dessert table line up for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. AND... it's one of those desserts that the kids request over and over again for special occasions. My son even requested it sandwiched in-between a red velvet cake for his birthday one year. I wasn't sure I could pull that off but I managed, and interestingly it went well together (probably because red velvet traditionally has cream cheese icing) so cheesecake became the perfect in-between layers for my red velvet cake.

In the summer, we garnish with fresh fruits in season. In the colder months, we make up our own fruit sauce and add generous amounts to each slice. The kids of course like to pile homemade whip cream sky high on their slices topped with cherry fruit sauce.
You can even adapt this recipe to create a pumpkin cheesecake in the fall, which my mom loves to do! Regardless of the season this is my go to cheesecake recipe. It never disappoints and there is never enough so make two!
