2 Ways to use Pound Cake for Quick Summer Desserts

Quick and easy desserts featuring pound cake! The perfect no fuss, no muss summer dessert!

Strawberries are in season! So, go grab a flat and whip-up these easy, semi-homemade desserts where strawberries, and pound cake are the stars! Throw in some white chocolate Crispearls by Callebaut for texture, and crunch for a delicious summertime dessert! Great for grown-ups and for kids!


Here's what you will need:

  • 1 Loaf Pound Cake

  • Heavy Cream

  • Vanilla Bean Paste (LorAnn Vanilla Bean Paste)

  • Whip It - Whip Cream Stabilizer

  • Fresh Strawberries

  • Fresh Mint

  • Callebaut White Crispearls​

Directions:

  1. Cut pound cake into chunks.

  2. Cut up fresh strawberries.

  3. Julienne fresh mint so that you have thin strips for layering.

  4. Whip up heavy cream use Whip it packet based on the number of cups you are whipping up. The number of desserts you are creating will determine how much cream and whip it stabilizer you will need.

  5. To assemble, simply layer in a clear bowl. Start with a layer of pound cake, then whip cream, then strawberries, mint and crispearls. Repeat until dessert dish is full and garnish with some fresh mint leaves and enjoy!
