Forget-Me-Not Wafer Paper Scrapbooking Project
Who doesn't love friendly flowers! This project makes some of the friendliest flowers around! Perfect for cakes, cupcakes and cookies!
Pre-Prep: You will want to use the flower dies linked under supplies needed and cut them out ahead of time in wafer paper of your choice. You can use plain white wafer and use the dusts to color it or one of the many patterned or colored options found in our online shop.
You can purchase these products online. There are many scrapbook machines on the market. If you're an avid scrapbooker, you can use the machine you already own.
Creating the Forget-Me-Nots
Create small disc's for your flower bases out of gum paste, modeling chocolate or fondant.
Form all your flower petals by placing your thumb in the center of the petal and cupping the edges around your thumb with your other hand.
Place a little bit of piping gel on your disc. This will be your glue.
Begin layering your petals.
Add the second layer off centering between the first layer. Use gel glue in between each layer.
Keep layering with each group of flowers in your kit as you did the first.
Use your ball tool to pop the petals up by pressing in the center lightly.
Add gel glue.
Offset next layer.
Lightly press to pop up petals.
Fluff as needed.
Done, time to color!
Use a mold of your choice for the centers.
Add color to your centers.
Attach center with gel glue.
Lightly dust petal edges with color.
